Crawlability (Layer 1)

Whether search engines can reach a page at all — the outermost and most fundamental SEO layer.

Crawlability is the first of CommandSEO's six layers (L1). Before anything else can matter, a search engine has to be able to discover and fetch the page. It fails quietly: a page with no internal links pointing to it (orphaned), a robots.txt block, a redirect chain, or a server error can all stop a crawler before it ever sees your content.

Because it's the outermost layer, a crawlability problem invalidates everything inside it — perfect content on an uncrawlable page is invisible.
