Cookie Policy

This page explains the cookies and similar technologies CommandSEO uses, the categories you can control, and how to change your choice. It supplements our Privacy Policy.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small files a site stores in your browser; we also use comparable browser storage (localStorage). Some are essential for the site to work; others are optional and help us understand usage so we can improve the product.

2. The categories you control

Non-essential cookies are off by default and only set after you opt in:

• Strictly necessary (always on) — keep you signed in, secure your session, and remember your consent choice. These don't require consent.
• Analytics (off until you accept) — privacy-friendly usage measurement so we can see what's useful and improve it.
• Marketing (off until you accept) — ad measurement / personalization signals. We don't run advertising cookies today; this category stays available for transparency and is off unless you opt in.

3. Strictly necessary

• Session cookie — keeps you logged in as you move around the app.
• CSRF token — protects forms and requests against cross-site forgery.
• cseo:consent (localStorage) — remembers your cookie choice so we don't ask again.

4. Analytics (only after you accept)

When you allow Analytics, we use:

• Google Analytics 4 (GA4) — aggregate traffic and product-usage measurement. GA4 runs under Google Consent Mode v2: until you accept, it stays cookieless and only sends anonymous, aggregate "basic measurement" pings (no analytics cookies like _ga are set). Once you accept, it sets _ga / _ga_* (up to 2 years). We disable Google Signals and ad-personalization signals.
• DataFast — a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics tool. It loads only after you accept Analytics and does not set tracking cookies.

5. Marketing

We don't currently use advertising or marketing cookies. If that ever changes, the Marketing category controls them and they stay off unless you opt in — and we'll update this page first.

6. Managing your choice

You can change your cookie choice at any time — accept, reject, or pick categories:

You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop you from staying signed in.

7. Regions

The banner is shown everywhere, and Consent Mode handles regional behavior: in the EU/UK no non-essential cookies are set before you consent. California residents can reject analytics/marketing via the banner; we don't sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
